I must admit, I have no idea what I am doing. More
So earlier today, I hiked a mountain with my friend…and threw up. My friend was long ahead at this point, desperate to get to the top which left me helpless a few minutes away from a pretty amazing view of God’s creation. Continue reading
Fairly recently, my dog got a hold of a dollar bill that someone had vicariously left on a low-rise table. Continue reading

My grandparent’s house is in the middle of the woods,
has spotty cell coverage,
and has an internet that only
works when you are within
five feet of the modem,
yet I look forward to every visit
Hello! You might be wondering where I have disappeared off to for the past month or so. And, the funny thing, so have I. Continue reading
If there is one thing that God has been showing me this year about faith, its that faith is not a ‘one size fits all’ kind of thing. What do you mean?
“There have been a slight change of plans…”
Plans change, people change, the weather changes. I mean, it was shorts weather less than a week ago and now there is frost and possibly snow over every plant and tree! Needless to say, things change. And even if we plan extra hard. Even if we pack extra sunscreen and chips, the sun just might be too harsh and the chips just too stale.
But you know what doesn’t change? God.
Despite all the craziness going on in this thing called life, we can trust that the Lord won’t change. Ever.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and ending, saith the Lord, which is, and was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
No matter if we feel down at the bottom of a cliff or on the highest mountain in the world, God is never changing, never failing, and never ending. The Lord will never abandon us, even if we cannot feel the Holy Spirit surrounding us.
God is the beginning, the end, the Alpha, Omega, and literally everything. (Cue song)
Despite all the unexpected things that happen on a daily basis, we can trust in the Lord. And that is something we can rely on.

Have you ever felt like you had the right to judge someone? Has someone ever done something to hurt you or someone you love and you felt as though they were the real sinners? The ones who couldn’t control their life? The ones who were definitely more in the dark than you? Continue reading
For this upcoming summer I had two possibilities:
1) A two-month long training program for living as a Christian in the real world.
2) A two-month long mission trip where you go to different different sites and are basically a student leader to a bunch of high school and middle schoolers.
Both required an application. Both required a deposit of about the same amount. Both seemed like great opportunities to grow in my faith.
Both were at the exact same time. Well…
My thumb twitches back and forth. Back and forth. Back… and forth. The phone moves from one screen to the other and back to the first one with each swipe. Huh?
